Sinful acts are a degradation to the soul.
But we do whatever so we can feel whole.
Time and again we reach out for elation.
From trips on cocaine to an all paid vacation.
These feelings we have are hardest to quit.
The addiction to guilt is the worst to admit.
A six headed beast shows many of its sides.
Cunning, and tact are some of it's prides.
It will take us up high to drop us way low.
This beast is a burden only few know.
When we are addicted to this feeling of guilt.
We burn all the bridges that we have built.
So we may have a battle and a lifetime cause.
The important thing is that we don't take pause.
Remember our values that as children we learned.
Remember the success for which we once yearned.
There is never a time to morn milk that was spilt.
Because time stands still when addicted to guilt.

we do that guilt trip well in life but we also dish out the guilt too lay it at the feet of others when we cannot take the responsibility of our actions.
I feel some stress with the rhyme pattern being made to fit rather than flow.Perhaps i am just feeling tired but you have given me thoughts to linger and ponder over.Thank you
