your nine lives
(or deaths, as it turns out)
are only as eternal
as percieved by the majority
your "jane doe" existence
is still more worthwhile
than the 16-year-old raped
twice with twins and one more
on the way, to damn her
(abortions, of course, are out of
the pre-mature question)
less than twenty years later, her tears
solidify and her innocence is
eternalized when frozen to
death by her (fourth) husband's
cold shoulder
always coming right after
his hot head
(evidenced by her charred face)
her five children
already know their mother
is a bad person
(why else would daddy
hit her so much?)
and when one mo(u)rning
she didn't come home from
the night shift at DOWNTOWN DIRTIES
they knew daddy was worse

Thanks for entering
This is extremely sad. Your imagery paints a dark picture of abuse. A life that was chosen that lead to nothing but unhappiness.
Good luck - let the ink flow and your fingers dance
