Words stated loudly, for clarity,
fall on deaf ears, are you proud of me?
Exsanguinate joy to make room for apathy,
rapidly, rapidly, rapidly,
Eyes focused intent on the heart of me,
keen to beleive that it's empty,
boldly exclaiming that we're pure and free,
vanishing, vanishing, vanishing,
Knowing the truth does all but set you free,
our complacency's downright astonishing,
this fetish they have for abolishing,
what generations spent long lifetimes polishing.
Everyone's watching but no one can see,
the irony, it fucking kills me.
Bleeping out cusswords, shooting at our feet,
the difference, it's not all that great to me.
All eyes on me, even if your blind,
march to the beat, would you be so kind?
Incarcerate every free thinker you find,
sheltering, sheltering, sheltering,
Constantly monitored from behind,
condemned by degrees to the daily grind,
of porno and snuff films to help us unwind,
sickening, sickening, sickening,
Fighting the tricks of our weakened minds,
yet willfully ignorant of everything,
counter-productive pondering,
this cultural wasteland we're wandering.
Surrender your liberty for freedom!
Argue that it makes perfect sense,
struggling with truth and humouring lies,
how can these people be so dense?
Everyone's watching but no one can see,
the irony, it fucking kills me.
Try hard as you might to subjugate me,
your drama, it doesn't mean shit to me.

i really like the word choice in this poem. the fact that you used "exsanguinate" in a non-medical sentence made my day. it's a very powerful image, the thought of exsanguinating joy... very cool.
once again, powerful write, amazing vividness (yes, that's a word)
