Who is this women, who might she be,
this mirror image stares back at me.
Such sad green eyes reflecting tears,
hidden smile beneath layers of fears.
Lost at love twice I watched it die,
years of cheating and their lies.
Young at heart yet has been broken,
the love felt now is left unspoken.
Simple pleasures have filled my heart,
down to earth right from the very start.
Always forgiving my fellow man,
for all children I will take a stand.
Poetry took hold and lit a fire,
writing was a life long desire.
I began to write a verse or two,
it made my life seem brand new.
Daughter of God walking with Thee,
tries to forget each sad memory.
Christian walk still not very old,
reads the Bible for future untold.
Becoming a mom, a dream come true,
giving love, there is so much to do.
Being an aunt, sister and grandmother,
with an AP family like no other.

Great Comment !!!!
Hi Michael,
Coffee is piping hot today. I don't think I love myself enough to enter my own contest with this poem. I only wrote it to use the lovely graphic my sweet AP niece Di made me to show my appreciation. If I did enter it would be rather different then this one. Well thank you dear friend for thinking of me as your little sis. Humm!! Well that would be a little bit of a stretch from the truth to being your little sis seeing I am older then you among other reasons
Always nice to hear from you. You brighten my day and sunshine must always shine bright. Hugs and smiles passing over the mountains heading your way my dear friend on the Solar Expess. Powered completely by sunshine.
Alway here for you. Love ya, Sandy
