Morbid Workstation

Hire 'em with lies,
Pack them off like mice
Into the basement.

Get them settled with sweet words
Into the cubicle farm
And make them work their asses off
In workstations with graveyard calm

If they take a day off,
They ought to compensate
And work into the nights
Or do an extra eight.

So what if they're good at their job,
They ought to get paid peanuts.

Deadlines are met and profits soar,
Okay so let them work some more
Taking breaks is a sin, you see
Stare at them like flies in your tea.

Friends, we're all in a sinking boat,
This is our reward
For every job that's well done,
We end up feeling odd.

The management team out there,
Is pea-brained all right
Yet the pay is a fat one
For every job that's (not) done.

Though we're promised lots,
Just the day before we're hired,
We end up like transfixed robots
Just waiting to get fired.
