Believe in Faeries

Believe in Faeries

The faeries come at evening light,
the little ones dance in the night.
Magical spells play in my mind;
dancing creatures of every kind.

The little elves are in my sight.
The faeries come at evening light.
They dance around causing no harm;
dancing creatures with loving charm.

The evil ones are unaware;
they’ll never catch them in their snare.
The faeries come at evening light;
playing their music so contrite.

If you believe than you will see,
that magic happens for you and me.
To dance with them is a delight,
the faeries come at evening light.

    Very lovely, beautiifully constructed and with wonderful rhyme and metre but why are they contrite?
    That implies penitence for a wrong surely.

    Another new form for me to see! And a lovely little poem about those wee faeries. One of my very good friends has the nick-name of mudd, short for mudd-faerie. I belive she single handedly owns more faeries and faery related stuff than anyone I have ever met. Including real photographs she has taken and I swear there are REAL faeries in the photos. She is definately not a camera wizz. I have spent many hours with her and her faeries and they are special little creatures. Great poem...
