It sometimes takes years, most of a lifetime,
for fortunate wise perhaps less, to realize
the nature of life. Then taking balance of days
true to knowledge gained, though anger strips resolve.
Perhaps in eyes of adoring child, wettest-nose loyal furred friend;
or lips in moonlit swoon, shimmering water and lonesome loon,
or standing wet ground at fresh made mound, saddest goodbye..
yet finding clarity, life's an uncertainty;
a journey of countless moments, and it is these moments,
these most tender moments; that make us.

I agree with you..this is a beautiful poem..it is the most tender of moments (happy & sad) that make us

think this was also photo prompt.. but the opportunity was to try to make some wisdom on the meaning of experience; how some seem to be so remote even from their own experience...PK
