Thinking of you both

I'm thinking about your pain;
thinking how I wish I could
erase these recent events.

Every eve and morn
I say a prayer
for your healing;
and think of you both
when I look at the sun
and the trees
and the earth.

I have hope for you both.
I hope you take strength from the heat of the sun;
inner calm from the gentle sway of the trees
and the stability of our lush earth.

May smiles lift your soul
and warming hugs calm your jagged nerves.

May you soon be strong again,
bringing charm to others lives once more.

    A wonderfully heartfelt write that warms the very soul.
    I especially love these lines:

    "...I hope you take strength from the heat of the sun;
    inner calm from the gentle sway of the trees
    and the stability of our lush earth...."

    How beautifully stated, and with such warmth and gorgeous imagery! This puts such a peaceful picture in the reader's mind. I am confident it will do the same for our dear friends. Thank you so much for your endearing words, and this fine offering. I know it will warm both their hearts when they read this!!

      Dear Mad moon,
      Thanks for such a lovely comment on the poem I have submitted to your contest! I'm so glad you think it will work in the way in which i intended when I wrote it. I may not know the people that I have written too, but I still feel for them and hope that this brings some comfort on the road to their recovery!
