Beauty staring back at me,
Reflecting off the watery grave.
I pray that a gentleman can save
My heart from this lonesome sea.
And maybe some proud marquis
Is facing a loneliness like mine,
And will come to be my devine
By the ship lights that I see.
Come to me my sweet!
I will sing you songs
Of love incomplete
And of sailor's wrongs
Come to me my love!
We will last all time.
My voice won't sing of
That victimless crime.
Beauty staring back at me,
Blemished by desperately heartfelt tears.
I know that my misunderstood fears
Are all there is to sea.
