Inspire

Words spoken in silence… it seems
A figure behind a mask
Or perhaps an idea, that found substance and mass
To stand and show the world,
What one can do,
With a written word or two
Scrawled out on warm and breathing
Flesh… Like a fire
Spreading to witness rebirth
And creativity with a single moment
Caught in memory…

Author notes

Now i'm not sure how many of you frequent youtube or not... but this poem was inspired/written for one person on there... who seems to inspire creativity and thoughts in others. http://www.youtube.com/user/MadV Check out his videos they may make you pause and think... *dances off to play with clay* Have a nice night/day

Why in the world does the poem get so many reads? It's so terrible >_>

  • this is real good...whoever inspired it will be happy to know it was written with them in mind...great job...keep writing and keep sharing...peace an dlight, kp

  • My first impression was that this poem was written about some sort of writer/artist. I read your notes and found that to be half true. I like the picture you paint with these words. Now you allude to mystery, but at the same time you have a lighter air to it. It sends a happier message that not all poets or creative people are dark and mysterious. Well written!

Yay! Youtube! Great idea for gaining inspiration and I think this was a great poem that came out of that inspiration. Wonderful job! I especially liked the line "And creativity with a single moment
Caught in memory…" because I think that's what creativity is always trying to do, just capture that moment in your memory. I hope you continue to try to capture your own memories because you have such talent and skill with words and you're a blessing to this community!

The wording of this poem is amazing... I really like the last two lines, they finished the poem off perfectly... the rhyme in the middle is a little off-putting though - or that might just be me... anyway, a very enjoyable read

    Keep writing

Very interesting... But, overall great write. I liked the imagery... the descriptions were very well thought out.

I liked the flow too... It was very good, but somewhat rocky in some places.

    ~ Great job
