melancholy mists
between artificial smiles,
rote nods of head
lining pathway of day,
unseen by spirit
that breathes heavily
in dark universe collapsing
along the edges
in cubicle’s corner
of ordained world,
between reams of paper
waiting to be filed
or shredded
tendrils of light
through the miniscule window,
roseate dreams
through paned glass,
as sun peeks
behind ever changing clouds
a steamship,
outbound for cumulus islands,
changing into a terrier
chasing the white rabbit ahead,
the daily coffee spirals
with glee
returning to tasks
no longer mundane,
but shaped according
to the heart,
desktop’s litter soon removed,
time for another glance
out the window
of her soul

I enjoyed your progression from inner turmoil, to outside world, to the soft comfort and creativity of a soul that has learned to find beauty and self-soothe with it. Loved the "roseate dreams" and "steamship outbound for cumulus islands". Very nice!

Ah such revelation inside inner beauty...trusting love to feather change in point of view to re-arrange...thanks so much
