The Un-named Poet.
There’s a very old poet, un-named,
as “ANON” universally famed.
We don’t know his identity
for he’s quite a nonentity
but at least other poets don’t get blamed.

TERRIFIC
This poet is not you
Cause you always come through
If you should leave
I would grieve
I don't know what I'd do

Good bad or mediocre the poet Anon keeps on writing and so should you. Though not a trophy winner this was a worthy competitor in our competition. Thanks for entering.

Dear Hugh,
I would love to enter this contest as well, but I haven't done a limerick before. It's amazing how many anomymous poets one comes across at times, there must be a lot of them out there.
Great Limerick dear friend.
Love Bea.XOXO

Sometimes poets get blamed anyway. There's always someone who assumes an anonymous work was written by some famous writer or other. In fact I've been blamed more than once for odd doggerel written on this site.

King Hugh actually entered a contest! Something is in the water...what next? Maybe Yem will enter a non-huguenauties contest, who knows.
It was a fun, scholarly poem, and quite brief, not at all like a Yemeian sonnet.

Long time since I have read a limerick written by you!
Poor poet, left without a name. the last line of your limerick left me wondering...did he write bad poetry?
Good luck in this contest dad
