pearls and sheetrock

put my hair in a pony tail
hard hat on its cold as hell
blue prints grabed by manacured hands
inside steel toe shoes my feet are slammed
when the day is done for me
dust and sheet rock cover me
run to shower and wash my hair
find some sexy underwear
cover my body in lotion thick
do my hair and put on lipstick
get out my high heals and nylons too
and my black dress to dine with you

    I realy like this .

You have done an amazing piece about the hard working world of the woman carpenter. I know just what you were getting at as I have done my share of sheetrock hanging. This is such a dirty tireing job but rewarding in viewing the end result. I know she felt about the bath and change of clothes at the end of the day as well. Excelent piece you have written here glad to see you were rewarded for your wonderful piece.

The title caught my eye before I even realized that it was written by an author who has actually read some of my stuff. I was disappointd, though. The typos ruin this: "poney tail", "mamicured", "steal toed", "slamed", and "underware." The rhyme scheme really adds nothing to the poem. Indeed, you even rhyme the same word (me). I know this was an entry for a quickie contest, but at least put an iota of effort into it. I know you have commented on more of my works than anyone else probably, and I'm sorry to have to come across harsh, but you can do so much better. I know it.
