This is very nice, and hints at the way thoughts carry so much weight in our minds, encompassing all senses. 14 words is a challenge, but you have risen to it.

perfume is a rather dainty word. it carries the piece well. makes it lighter than it really is.

Melancholy. I immediately equated perfumed thoughts with 'exaggeratedly good memories, all the bad ones locked away'. I must say, this brings a nostalgiac cast to looking on the bright side from the darkness of a corner, but in the most hopeless sense of it, as the bright side is behind you on a road that goes one way.
