Walking softly by a garden gate
A rose perfume calls to me
Evoking lost hidden memories
Of things that will never be
I see her softly crying yet
As I quickly walked away
Her last words haunt me still
In this place where I lay
Remember me was all she asked
How then could I lose it all
For pride and pain and a tear
For my weakness not to call
That lost moment will call to me
On this lonely road I walk
Through time now everlasting
On eternity's slow endless clock
