I thought you would always be there
I never thought I would be left behind
I thought you were my answered prayer
I never thought I could be so blind.
You are my best friend, soon to be gone
My heart feels empty, extremely void
I don't want to have to be withdrawn
But if I don't I will feel destroyed
The tears will come, I fear no end
For I promised I would never cry
But to lose such a dear friend
And have to say a final good-bye
I wish I could convince you to stay
But my words will fall on deaf ears
Filling my heart with dismay
leaving my eyes full of tears
So I will have to say my good-bye
and act like I don't even care
I know I promised I wouldn't cry
But you promised you'd always be there

My best friend is moving back to his hometown in two weeks, and I am very crushed about it. I love him so much and soon he will be gone
