Ha! I know what I want!
Do you know how strange that sounds?
Having something more than just an Idea.
For me it’s always been the idea.
The plan for what I’d never tasted.
A thirst for a life on a hallmark greeting card.
I have diped my feet in countless bodies of water.
Looking for the correct idea to bath myself in.
Soaking restlessly, then departing, for lack of pleasing temperature.
Shriveled at times for idling too long
Shocked from the shift between water and air
Walking with damp foot steps to the next lake of inspiration.
I can safely say I dallied too often
Found saunas too existentially pleasing
Wasting myself and time, ravaged by nexxus steams.
And though good water cooler talk they have made
These stories have eclipsed my foresight
And I over looked my oasis as I sipped from it obliviously.
Now I know what the well smells like
I've gathered a shovel and I intend to dig for it.
Through rock and clay, till muscles bruise and burst.
It's my oasis, buried below years of indecision.
Hiding beneath sedimentary layers of trial and error; I'll find it
and I'll not drink a drop from any fountain of another name.

I'm still dipping my feet in different lakes.
I like the theme for this, quite creative.
