Curled up here
all snug and warm
enveloped in my own 'coccoon'
growing and developing
day by day
nourished by a loving being
cushioned from the outside world
I patiently await
the time of my emergence
into a world I have not seen
'the great unknown'
but for now I know
that I am safe

I guess we are safe there because we don't know the harm we are about to enter. Or the threats we face in the womb. And interesting concept indeed.
Thankies for entering and much luck

Beautiful write. in some sense, physically at least, the womb is where all of us start. I liked the title of this piece. Clever. Good luck in the contest.

This is very beautiful. Life a gift from God, and birth a beauty in its own right. You have penned this with love, and tenderness delighted in this very much. ~blessings to you always~ best to you in the contest
