She Loves Him still

She falls to the ground
She has no chance of being found
She's never been this low.
She's never been this close to giving up.
When is it the right time to tell him she's had enough?
He has it rough but his words cut
But she loves him still.
Loving him could make her life go down hill
But She loves him still.

Author notes

This poem is about a girl who loves a man battling depression. She sticks with him even though he pushes her away with his words and is mean to her sometimes. She stays with him even though its affecting her because thats how deep her love is.

I just want to know if you guys really understand the poem.

    Welcome to AP!

I know this story all too well. I have even had to experience it on the flip side being the man involved with a woman battling depression. It’s not an easy thing to do, especially when all you want is for them to ‘feel better.’ I think you did a good job representing some of those feelings experienced of love, doubt, pain and even anger. Nicely done.
