Merry Christmas All

It's Christmas Eve and everything is done
All of the stockings are neatly hung
Cookies and milk set out on the table
This was done by our Aunt Mable

The tree is trimmed and lighted so bright
Dad left it plug in to shine all night
The Manger Scene arranged down below
With the Star of Bethlehem all aglow

It's snowing now it started so late
It's piled up on the fence and also the gate
What a nice jolly snowman it will make
As we roll and pat each tender snowflake

Christmas Morn so delightful will be
With all of the presents under the tree
After a hearty breakfast we gather around
Each looking for a place to sit down

The littlest ones sit on the floor
Presents piled high and looking for more
Dad in his rocker and Mom next to him
Dad gives the Ok for the joy to begin

He gives a blessing for each one here
Also for those who don't live so near
He gives thanks for all the bountiful supply
And all the treaure piled so high

The little ones now have opened their gifts
Comparing and showing without any rifts
Now it's Mom and Dad's turn to open and see
What treasures they have, given so merrily

Their eyes light up and they give a big smile
Everything they got for them is worth while
They thanked us all and gave a kiss and a hug
Piled high their gifts so neat and so snug

What a wonderful Christmas Day this will be
Enjoying each other as one family
So I'd like to say to each one of you
A Merry Christmas filled with love so true
