Three Angels

The blue lights make me think of home
And tears come to my eyes
I hear the old deep rustling
But I've fallen away from them,
There's joy all around me
--Coloured leaves, frosty air
But my breath makes figures in the sky
Old figures dancing near
And the blue lights drip around me
My eyes reflect their hue,
Consuming the bitter light of truth
Drawing it all into me

And I'm dreaming of home again
My kin I betrayed long ago
And my father--loved Father
Who calls me back Home...
And my kinsmen wrap their arms around me
Familiar spirit, secure embrace
Feathers brushing my eyes
And drying my tears
There are three of them--maybe more
Nameless yet known.
Despite my fears
Despite my sin
They still love me--and call me home

I'm a Child of Dawn
In a Nightshade Forest
Where the King of the wood is my Father
I'm coming home, Dad--I'm going to make it
Just give my soul wings so I can fly again
Great Golden wings like they were before...

And the blue lights all around
Make me cry inside for home
I feel so lost yet so close to him
I'm so very alone yet they love me
I'm still Severed
But He Exalts me in His eyes
And I will forever love him

Father--I'm coming home...

Author notes

This is...personal. I have blue Christmas lights hanging in my room. I hang them because they remind me of Home... Last night I almost lost it, but I'm okay. This poem is the way of my thoughts.
