To Young to Go

You were young and full of life
You were a mother and a wife
Nothing wrong with you
Nothing that we knew

We didn't think that day
That you would go away
You struggled to my door
A few words and nothing more

You fell on to the floor
And died in my arms at the door
Then your voice was heard no more
I cant understand why you had to die

Two little ones left behind with sorrow
on their minds broken hearts abound
You should still be a round
You were to young too go it should have been me you know

I am old and have lived but you have little kids
But that was not God's plan
So he took you by the hand
And now your in his care and we miss you everywhere

How sad and how awful. Yet, she died in love's arms and was received into Love's arms. So she is happy. I am sure you are devastated. I am so sorry.

Poignant poem that tears at the reader's heart.

(The first to should be too in the title) Anyway. This was really descriptive and it sounded so tragic...

Thank you for your beautiful entry.

this is a very sad poem that you have written. losing someone is always a hard thing to have happen and also to cope with. I was 3 when my mother passed away, I can tell you from my point of view dealing with death no matter the age is very painful and very hard. thank you for sharing this poem with me.

    good luck in the contest.
