Mrs. Schwartz once told me
a tradition of her faith
is to speak the name of those you love
when you're not face to face.
And this will draw them close to you
in mind and in spirit.
So I practice this
a simple prayer
and hope that you can hear it...
Every day you're in my thoughts
every day I speak your name
to Him who can restore your peace
and He who heals your pain.
And this I do with a joyful heart.
The true care I have for you
is that your life be truly blessed,
that you attain all you pursue.
And by His grace, I dare submit,
I imagine that He would say
"Know my dearest little one
You're in My thoughts today."

Mrs. Schwartz is my widowed neighbor, she is a very kind, wise Jewish lady and I adore her.
