Hanging in lost doorways of reality,
glazed with darkness as terror settles.
Haunting disturbances invade life,
as a haze of disbelief rolls in silently.
Windows no longer exist today,
fresh breezes are blocked forever.
Battleground setting takes form,
fighting for the ownership of my soul.
Angelic light of heavens warriors,
stalk demonic torment in every wave.
The mixture of fog enrages boldly,
pulling me into different directions.
"Worn out from the war that's taken its toll"

Wonderful depiction of the struggle to continue when everything piles up and weighs the heart down. Well done and best to you in the contest.

Beautiful in a very dark way. The alliteration in the first stanza with "hanging, haunting, haze" and "doorways, darkness, disturbances, and disbelief" was very well done. One suggestion: the final line reads kind of awkwardly. I think "Worn out from the war that's taken its toll" might work better.
I hope you are able to overcome the demons in your life and win the battle. Wishing you the best! God bless.

Indeed a very good poem, a dark one at that' Wearied by constant frictons of life.Life presents a dim picture at times stranding us at cross roads.

Wow,
Seems like each day in some way is a war of sorts.. a battle at the very least.. I wish you nothing but happiness, and lots of victory!
Peace, and thanks for sharing here, and all the best within the contest!

Well written of the darkness that threatens to envelope us all at one time or another, for some it just happens to be an ongoing battle. I pray that your battle is soon over and that you can hold your head up high in victory...Scott

Outstanding!!
A war I am familiar with my dear friend!! Such an excellent message and a look inside the torment one can go through in a lifetime of the struggle within us! You penned this one to perfection! The imagery and emotion are as real as it gets and captivate those of us that have been there and came through on a whim as so it seemed. I think we know some of the other side to fully appreciate the side we belong on. A fact that life surroundings can change miute by minute but our faith must stay in tact. That is what makes the difference between getting caught up in or escaping the storm of living. Not all days are the same are they my dear friend! Well done! Love Ya, Don
