Waiting and Waiting
Watch the world pass me by,
Watching and wishing
For signs of light.
What do you do
When you're lost in the dark?
What do you do
When no one knows who you are?
Wishing and hoping
For the moon to rise,
Anything to help
Clear the fog from my eyes.
Not a star in the sky
Not a light in the street,
Nothing to stop this darkness
From consuming me.
Waiting and Watching,
Watching and Wishing,
Wishing and Hoping,
Darkness Consuming.
Author notes
That ending was kind of a cop-out, I know...But you know what, I don't care. That's the first poem I've written in ages.
Hope you like.
