Light's glory

Missing image
From His mouth:

    ‘Let there be light’, and
    He was pleased with what He saw;
He then separated light from darkness, and
onto earth came the first day from night.

From His heart:

‘Let light shine out of darkness’, and
into man’s heart He poured wisdom –
a knowing of His glory through his Son
that brought light of day unto man.

From His place:

He the Lord of creation, will give
man light from His place, that needs no
lamp or sun, as there can be no darkness
that emanates from His heavenly throne.

This is really deep and so so true. Now that I think about it it reminds me of the song we sang as a child in Sunday school about letting the light of Jesus shine in our lives. "Hide it under a bushel No.. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Your light shines brilliantly through this one.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long

Leo, I have not heard those words 'Let it shine, let it shine let it shine' for many a years. Actually, I cannot even remember where and when I sang this. My mom was a Baptist in her child years, and perhaps, when I was just a kid, she might have sung and taught me that. Thanks for the leap into the past, and your most welcome comments.

I love how this is divided... very unqiue concept, well written. Works well as a sort of devotional poem.

    God bless!
