Gray
A color so bland
Even the sound of its name
Makes others turn the other way
Nobody wants to see the dull shade
Not black and not white
Not tainted but not pure
A mixture of posotive and negative
Thus creating this neutral gray
If it stands beside
It blends in with the others
And is never noticed
It feels numb and cannot tell
Whether to laugh or cry
If it likes the solotude
Or wants to call out for attention
Oh, how is it to decide
Not thick or thin
Not smooth or rough
Neither bitter or sweet
Never smiling or frowning
Not loud, but not quiet
Neither straightforward or subtle
It is simply there in the middle
And there it shall always be
This mixture of light and dark
This neutral, dull, bland, and tepid

Author notes
My room is painted grey. I don't know, but grey helps me to relax and think clearer. Its not too dark and its not too bright. Its neutral, like me.

Nicely written. Gray (Grey) is a very interesting color to me, not just because it is BETWEEN dark and light (white and black) but also because..... if you mix multiple colors together you ALWAYS END UP WITH THE COLOR GREY (GRAY). Its true !!!

omg! I just realized that I spelled gray wrong! lol!
I'm going to go kick myself now...
Its my favorite color because I think it represents everything as a whole. Even though its a shade and not a real color, it still is my favorite!
