The sweat drips from my eyelids
as the sound of loud silence fills my ears.
The beat of my heart is that of a song-
-fast and uneven
The tingle of numbness fills my face
and the taste of bitter sweetness engulfs my mouth
1969~
on my way from California
to a New York festival
where the rest of us will gather.
Where the drugs come easy,
but not cheap.
Money's not a problem with a body like mine....
I tremble as i realize what im partaking in
-moans that sound like mine excape my lips involuntarily.
*black out*
I awake-- its night.
Where is this place?
-So beautiful
All the Earth's Children surround me
in a whirl of complete bliss.
The Who's guitar riffs complete my soul.
I need my fix.
just as im thinking this
someone hands me a bag
wow this is going to be a good four days.

Wow.
i had to get the courage to read this poem.
because i saw the title a few days ago.
and i thought to myself "how stupid"
Cocaine - from personal experience - has got to be one of the stupidest mistake anyone could make, and not one you have to make on your own. -

what? "and not one you have to make on your own" o baby you have no idea about me and cocaine.... thanks for the comment i guess
