He went to glory.
He met his maker.
He's bought the bloody farm.
It's his funeral,
His own damn funeral.
He's bought the bloody farm.
He's six feet under,
Pushing up daisies.
He's bought the bloody farm.
He's kicked the bucket,
He's gone to Heaven.
He's bought the bloody farm.
He's no longer with us,
He's passed away.
He's bought the bloody farm.
He's gone to a better place,
He's left us.
He's bought the bloody farm.
The coil's been shuffled,
It's been well shuffled.
He's bought the bloody farm.
Author notes
You used the word "euphemism". I hope this isn't too obvious a response to that.

as i was reading this, i was thinking, oops, i think i missed a stanza, then realising it wouldn't of mattered if i did... then that thought snowballed, it wouldn't really matter if i missed one, or two, or in fact all the stanzas.

This has a relentless rhythm to it which works very well and the repetition of the last line in each stanza is effective. I'm assuming that the phrase "..bought the bloody farm" is also a euphemism for death, although it's not one that's familiar to me.
I've certainly not come across it in Britain or Ireland--is it an American expression?
Excellent poem,
Bill

Great
I never realised there were so many ways to say someone had died. An education if anything. A great read, thanks for the submission and good luck!

i like this, death comes to us all i think, and why we treat it as we do is an important question, here you have given an aspect of how we think and it is so very well done...PK
