I Sing to You

I sing to you a Serenade,
With Springtime love in full parade
Love's passion shared while here we lay,
All in Love, this glorious day.

It seems all Nature's come along,
The birds enchant us with their songs,
And gazingly, eyes full of Love
Our souls sun-bathed from above.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loverly, Lover lie,
Watch the world around us fly.
Lover Lie, Let's be as One--
'Till the setting of the Sun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In this Springtime Utopia,
Virtual Cornucopia
The fullness of Love's Blossomed rose,
We to each, their Love disclose.

So sing ye long, into the night,
As well we share full love's delight.
This special moment won't last long,
But Forever is Love's Song!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lover lie, Loverly,
Oh you mean the world to me!
Loverly, Lover lie
With me 'till the day we die!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    This is very beautiful indeed. I loved the opening and closing stanzas the most. I loved the way you conveyed emotion through the writing to the picture.

      Thank You Steve!

      This was a creation of mine for one of the endless Contests here at AP. I guess I got inspired, and it has been well received. I'm glad you liked it. It was somewhat different for me--but I enjoyed the challenge.

      Bless You,
      David

      Thanks for your kindness

      Thanks Dear Lady for your kind remarks on this poem. It is justr one of those that once I began to write, it seemed to take on a life it's own. I am happy it was given the gold, but there were many other entries in that contest I felt just as and maybe even more so worthy of top honors. You just never know where or it a piece will land. I was blessed this time!

      May you be oft' blessed as well,
      David

    I see why this captured gold. I loved it. The rhyme was great and so is the vocabulary. I don't see the word conucopia much...loved the way you used it.

    This writing is very good, my friend! It incites many connotations in me, which I beleive all poetry and songs are supposed to do. You've got an A+ in my book.

    Okay now I know that this is very bad, but it doesnt make me even a little sad, I can not choose a favorite line, because the whole thing just seems to rhyme. And it is perfect on its own, no criticism seems to be owed, thank you ever so much for sharing, it is great and I am cheering!

    Thank you for entering my contest, and best of luck to you as well!!
