Travel down the path I make
Which way to go? Will no one tell?
Moonlight beckons me awake
Tread not so far into that hell
Stumble down upon one knee
This stance I know, I do it well
Darkness gathers round to see
Inside me it begins to swell
Whispers promised to keep me safe
Surrounding me it feels so warm
It swears to guard me, I am it's waif
It has me now in my bound form
Darkness closes in around me
Grip tightens now, I feel the storm
I say not this, now set me free
I struggle, I will not conform
A pale and wispy light above
It does not glare but gently calls
In it I see the peace of a dove
I'm fighting now within these walls
I wonder if I am beyond choice
Light reaching for me slowly
It tells me here I have voice
Filling me up, I know it's holy
I choose the Light
