Just Leave Me Alone

Nothing you can do
To make me love you
I don’t consider you dad
You think I’m insane
You’ve had 19 years
To know me
Still you said no
From now on
Until all time
Just leave me alone

You never once
Told me you were
Proud of me
Or honored
To be my dad
Fine I get it
You don’t want me
I’m gone
Like death
Just leave me alone

Don’t call or write
You never have anyway
So why should now
Be any different
Then before I left
It shouldn’t
That’s the point
You disappointed
Good I’m glad now
Just leave me alone

saturated in sorrow no other way to describe it
the pain and anger in this poem are aparent but beyond that is the sorrow of being unwanted and to me almost the want for his affection maybe even for a change the poem screams go away but i can almost get try harder out of it i dont know if thats what you were going for but thats what i got
either way this is a powerful piece
