Your eyes hold stars of a brilliant kind
locked in ocean cages
locking yours with mine
Love is a wall
unexpected and crashing down
Love is an ancient mystery
held in hearts long since gone
The way we meet is more than desire
lost in the memories
caught on tomorrow's sight
Wars are love's ignition
the wind that blows the coals
to bring them to life again
in the blaze of twirling hope
Your hands are the comfort of fire
burning the cold of night away
and leaving no place to hide
Love is a tragedy
thrashing against stone's angry arms
Love is the burst of fireworks
and your voice the deafening report
Years are the definer of love
refining her into a sword
to pierce the most lost and lonely heart
and bring the wanderers home

You have a lot of nice images in this piece. I wish it were rearranged into a more cohesive poem though. You have a lot of repetition in this and it tends to show more because of the way it is ordered. You go from locks to walls to fire to loss to locks to fireworks to loss to fire again. There is so much potential here though and I do like the stanzas individually. Best of luck in the contest!

wonderful
especially "love is a tragedy/ thrashing against stone's angry arms".
Beautiful. Original. Priceless.
