to sit down and tell you how we were together

that underneath my dress rises and falls my chest

as I think of you

Sweat trickles down my neck

and before I can catch my breath

The new you sits in front of me

With your lips pursed

I think you're set for self destruction

This situation is heated

It's like we've never known one another

like we've never looked down at our reflection seated in the river

like the mother of our minds aren't some how related

if they are, they're broken now

just as you and I

they've fallen apart

and for the last time

I stand here begging you to look at me

to take this picture and see who you used to be

See that its been awhile

since we played and imagined our lives as different

but now your just a broken child

who only knows right from wrong

and that the world is wrong

and that lifes not long and for a child

so young you know too much

and while you crying here

let me wipe your tears that represent your accomplishments because you've lived your fears
