Can you remember the days
When a simple smile
Meant so much
Or do you still?
I'm not so sure,
So let me remind you
Of those days
When everything meant something
And nothing was just a little piece of everything
Those days...
Where love was returned
To you twofold
Where it now always seems
So unrequited
As you hang now above the abyss of lost will-
To live, to love, to believe
A hand will reach for you
When that hand comes,
You will remember-
And you will know what I mean.
Author notes
I really hope this helps, I can only begin to grasp the situation you're in right now. (seeing that I'm just 12)

Great
12? Wow, first a 13 year old comes in and blows my mind, then someone even younger does it again. This is great, and it just goes to show how much talent is out there. I can see what you mean with what you have written here and love the line "When everything meant something
And nothing was just a little piece of everything" that's so true! It kind of reminds me of something I once said too, back in the days of caring..."If we see everything as something, we will never have nothing" Great writing, and good luck in the contest!
