Each Day Drags By

each day drags by,
each moment will pass,
each smile,
each tear drop,
won't forever last.
Life doesn't exist,
beyond what we can see,
and the world keeps
spinning,
    spinning,
          spinning,
too fast for me.
We're structured,
and we're taught,
we're preached
based on society's thoughts.
we are born to die,
we live to ask,
and in every generation,
society is inadvertently masked.
We follow,
we lead,
everyone,
but no one,
succeeds.
Our boundaries are small,
are hopes are big,
life's a bottle of beer,
of which we can only take a swig.
we all need to know,
as we're falling down.
we try to know
we try to guess
we think we're getting closer,
as we apply less and less.
happiness is an illusion,
happiness is a need,
happiness is a command,
we all need to heed.
and the intelligant resist,
and the dim oblige,
but the winner in the long run,
is the one with the closed eyes.
We all stand and fall,
in the end,
we take more than we give,
lust,
curiosity,
depression,
is inside us all,
the cure:
is.
to.
live.

This is a very good, honest poem. I like the way you wrote it, formatting and all, and you pulled it together nicely. Good job and good luck.

    All my love, DxD.

    Stunning!

OK, so that's odd. I swear I just commented on this, but my comment isn't here...Hmm, odd indeed! I can't remember what I said exactly, as I've mentioned my memory is disgustingly bad, though it was along the lines of "wow", "awesome", "great work", "you're really 13!?" I wouldn't judge that according to your age, because that's better than some things I've seen in the past that have been written by people twice your age and more! Keep writing like this, and there's a new poet star rising. Well done, and much luck in the contest!
