Love is like a diamond
sparkling in your eyes
Love is like the sunshine
lighting up the skies
Every minute is a ripple
echoeing on a stream
The vision that I see of you
is from an unknown dream
The air I breathe is filled with you
yet you I do not see
But only feel the glow within
to know we are so free
Free to do just how we please
no more hiding from sniggering stares
Live openly and faithfully
ignore the prying glares
Hand in hand through life we walk
safe within our love
Knowing God is watching us
protecting from above
To know that we can be ourselves
laugh at the sky out loud
We're close as close as two can be
safe from the maddening crowd.

Wrote this rather quickly for the contest-was quite tempted to do a 'funny' one but changed en route!
