Each day gets tied
into the vast confusion
of a dismal world,
working, bills
struggling through
the never ending battle.
Overhearing
a child's voice
'what is a rainbow'
you see, through a child's eyes.
Late, rushing
with millions of others
all in the same hurry
A child's smile
their eyes soft and innocent,
or mischievous and friendly
you live, through a child's eyes
A new day, rising with the sun,
staring only at your watch
missing the glorious sunrise,
which sparks the dew into a million jewels
and dazzles the mind at it's beauty.
A beauty you don't see.
But 'look' a child's voice
filled with awe and hope.
You look, you see, you live,
you remember
through a child's eyes.

to me, this takes a hole new turn to the phrase, "if its there, and child will find it." and in that, i mean the beauty of the world, when all most adults see is not enough time for this and that, everything is in the way and so on and so forth. I dont know what your prompt was, but this is an awesome poem, and i believe you captured todays society magnificently.

Good stuff!
Definitely can relate to this one, a lot of what was said I imagined (or should I say remembered?) myself doing an awful lot of what was mentioned. Though, at times there was a lot I didn't understand, though I'm not going to hold that against you, it was still a well written entry. Good luck!
