The Wilting Of World Peace

I am a red orchid,
Waiting to be picked.
I must despise these roses,
For I am not declared so beautiful.
Do I not smell as sweet?
Even in death they don't pick me.
Winter's chill creeps in
And my pedals begin to wilt.
As my time begins to die,
I wonder...
How long before all flowers
Will see equal beauty?

I like this write a lot. I like the symbolism of peace as a flower in this poem. It seemed like a good metaphor for describing how the world seems to have lost love and peace in this day in age. But, through our thoughts and writes we can keep the hope for peace alive.
Peace to you and keep writing.
