Who Cares!

Thinking what to write about
What subject to distort
There are many running through my mind
Getting lost somewhere in the maze
For there are no signs on the streets
Just grey matter resides

Just getting bored waiting
For someone to get back
With their review of the designs
The requirements are filled
The ones that were critically needed
The business owners are no where to be found

In between the waiting period
My mind is going crazier
Imagine that, I’m already out there
It just bothers me to just sit on my chair
Waiting, even if it’s not an approval
More changes you think need to be made
I’m all for it, but just don’t let them just sit there

Every requirement coming through
In person or email
They all are need yesterday
Once we deliver it in rush today
No one to even look at them to this day
Until after few weeks or even months
When higher ups get rattling
Then everyone starts looking
For someone to take the blame
For delaying the train

Sure design team is on top of the list
Developers say they didn’t get the designs
The business owners refute
And, then who is left behind?
Of course us, the digital design team
To pick up the pieces and take the blame
While others play designers to bring project to completion

Oh no! But wait
Just wait a bit

Got to love the technological advances
Emails sent over network is a blessing
I love their Read & delivery receipts
For every email sent
So, forwarding the replies to why are we delaying
Simply cut & paste the read receipts
To the higher management
But don’t forget to CC the business owners
And our always friendly developers

Hey don’t rock the boat
I sure won’t stand by you
You’re on your own on this one
Don’t use new techniques on the horizon
Just stick with the old fashion
Until developers give their consent

As long as the users get the results
It doesn’t matter what so ever
The code we write is in duplication
Redundancy is part of the architecture
I don’t care about other part of the application
Please contact its project leader
One application with several divisions
Every part is a stand alone application
No one header on the shoulder
To look over
As long application runs
Servers don’t give up

Oh well, who cares…

Got to love the accountability
People taking their responsibility
Owning up to their actions
For doing their jobs so well
Just overlooking minor details
Of analyzing the system completely…

Oh well, who cares
I got the approval in my pocket
Without listening
Forget about complete understanding
Hey I did what I was suppose to
Now, it’s up to the development team
To finish up the project in time
Once UIs are delivered to them…

Rest is history
That was written yesterday
Discussed today
Completed in future
In between teams wait for approvals
From business owners
Delivering requests in urgency

Oh well, who cares
I’ve done my job
Now it’s on them
Go figure, who are them
