Life is full of lessons,
learned and unlearned.
Mistakes we seem to repeat,
they ricochet
off dirty, too-white walls.
They used to call this place
the fork in the road,
a place where change is
inevitable, and peace
seldom prevails. Where mind
and heart collide in confusion.
So here I stand, not knowing
which way to turn.
If time allows me to tarry
in my decision.
What if the right is wrong,
the left is luxury?
Or perhaps
the right is right, and the
left is lonely?
learned and unlearned.
Mistakes we seem to repeat,
they ricochet
off dirty, too-white walls.
They used to call this place
the fork in the road,
a place where change is
inevitable, and peace
seldom prevails. Where mind
and heart collide in confusion.
So here I stand, not knowing
which way to turn.
If time allows me to tarry
in my decision.
What if the right is wrong,
the left is luxury?
Or perhaps
the right is right, and the
left is lonely?

Welcome to Allpoetry and thank you for entering
I really liked this. The flow is excellent. The choice of words are perfect for the setting. I liked the use of too-white walls. It was a great contrast.
Thank you for entering and good luck

Thanks for entering and welcome to allpoetry
Nice job, well said, good imager and nice flow. I think the choices we make all have the equal potential to turn out good or bad. It is the reason behind the choice that counts in the end.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless

Decisions, decisions. We never know if it is the right one until it has been made and followed through. That is when you have to start looking at the big picture and forgeting about what is happening right now.
Great write
Good luck - let the ink flow and your fingers dance
