Touch the prickly rose, you picked from a bush - that is dripping with tiny droplets.**
Touch the remains of all the memories of past times you just wanted to forget.***
Taste your salty lips, after they have gently been kissed.*
Taste the raindrops that had fallen from the skies above.**
Taste the tears that line your lips after a silent cry.***
See the person you care for most, standing in front of you - after a kiss that was for sure worthwhile.*
See the rays of the beautiful rainbow, as the storm slowly resides.**
See where the tears have gotten you, after you slowly wipe them away. ***

Thank you very much for entering my contest! I did enjoy reading this very much. I love the style, never seen before and after reading your author notes, I went back and read it again. Works both ways! Well thank you once again.

I am so glad! This is such an inspirational poem for me, when I read it - it makes me smile, I hope it did the same for you! I was hoping I wouldn't confuse anyone with the authors notes, I am so glad that you understood. There are silly things like how we touch, taste and see and don't savior those moments and therefore take them for granted.
Again - it makes me very glad just knowing you enjoyed reading it! Thank you so much!
XOXO
