A soft little voice mutters lines about love
Yes, it is strange how it presents itself
Once I did feel it
But not in the conventional sense.
For half of my life he was everything
Everywhere, Every day together
Suddenly he was gone
A feathered flame caught in the wind
And this documented memory haunts me
Sure enough, it always will
But I’m almost sure this young man
Has been duplicated inside of another
A soft little voice declares ever so gently
‘Can’t say goodbye
I’m ashamed to say this but yes, I did try
But I can’t say goodbye.’
I will be watching closely
If any harm should come his way
This flame will be protected
Now found, I will not lose this love again.
A soft little voice whispers oh so faintly
‘I won’t say goodbye
I’m ashamed to say that of course, I have tried
But I won’t say goodbye.’

this isn't crap. It is very good. -
wow i liked this one.
its complex to get personality in characters through speech in poetry. -
It has really nice yet somehow odd flow to it.. I'm not exactly sure why but the one thing I do know is that it makes me feel warm in the right places.
