As tears of the moon kiss sandy beaches,
my heart brightens to the sound of your voice
and darkness gives way to hues of friendship.
Lost in moments of kindness and sweet grace,
my heart's heaviness gives way to great joy
and your words soothe pain that lingers within.
Knowing the faithfulness your words bring me,
promises made are taken to my soul
and I no longer await their breaking.
Eternity, once frightening, welcomed
as I no longer fear walking alone
and look forward to sharing destiny.
Friendship has new definition within
as you have taught the meaning of true love
and dispelled lessons taught by the others.
As we walk, hand in hand, down lit pathways,
I embrace the gift I now know as you
and welcome the day you and I will share.
