What dream is it to find a love that will not lie down?
A love that knows no time, no bounds, no settling?
Who could say no to a love stronger than the grave?
Some would say such a love is not meant to last.
I have even said such a thing as my life has proven it
But I still hope for a love as constant as the moon.
I dream of a love unmoving as mountains and
Faith enough to move them should love require it
Will such a love as this visit more than once?
I shall wait until it ignites, shedding light upon my porches
I shall wait for the phoenix to rise again, ashes to the wind
I shall wait and hope with longing for such a love as this.
oh for the stuff of fairy tales...an unexamined life is not worth writing about.

Ah, a very fine write indeed. Your imagery was fine and reminded me of an earlier poem I wrote called:
"Bridges" Here's a link: http://allpoetry.com/poem/2140524
