a call to arms

brothers and sisters
we are gathered at this sacred site
celebrating unwavering allegiance to our common way
strengthened through countless centuries of solidarity against our mortal enemies
radical unbelievers who consider themselves 'exceptions'
rebellious minority agitators recognizing no authority other than themselves
daring to live on the periphery of conventionality
inspiring fear in we who value above all
the comfort of community conformity.
we must eradicate these parasites from the face of the earth!

I'm happy to report
most of them are near extinction
our goal of annihilation almost fully realized
yes we have much to be proud of
however some of these deviants still live among us
constantly finding new ways to go undetected
evading our most sophisticated surveillance
refusing to convert to our established laws
group compliance
accepted behaviour
taste in art
our youth are still susceptible to their influence
we must not rest till we uproot these remaining blaspheming weeds
from our cultured garden of civility

let me refresh your recollection of our adversaries...
emboldened by deluded leaders
these conspirators challenge the validity of our most cherished institutions
neither abiding by our morality nor belief in God
mocking declarations asserting the good of the many
over the good of the few..
most repulsive of all
their sexual appetites go unchecked
unrestrained
no taboo restricts their intimacy with one another
in fact sex is their obsession!
we all know if widespread sexual pleasure is permitted
the whole fabric of our existence
will unravel chaotically
threatening all we hold dear
rendering our lives meaningless
debased to the natural instincts we have suppressed
since the day after the dawn of time

so let us now commit to an even deeper resolve
rededicate our efforts to seek out
destroy
every last one of these contrarian demonic outsiders
our communal conscience necessitates greater certainty
every new generation of us more powerful
absolutely victorious over the exceptions
proving beyond a shadow of a doubt
the unquestioned superiority of we the rule

if any of you evildoers are here now
disguising yourselves as one of us
subverting our path to salvation
let me now make this absolutely clear
fire and brimstone shall split your wicked hearts asunder
and the Lord God of the Many
will cast you into the firey pits of hell
and we the righteous from our privledged home in heaven
will delight in your screams for eternity!

    Superb plus

Great satire. You expressed yourself quite well, indeed. The kind of individuals who really speak like those you satirized scare me. In a moment, a couple of links and you'll know why. One reason they scare me is I believe if they could get away with it, we could have a new Holocaust right here in America. It wasn't just the Jewish People that Hitler gassed to death at
Auswitz, and Dachau, etc. during World War II, it was quite a few other groups as well. Click on this link and you'll see what I mean:

And of course our (U. S.) Constitutional Liberties are also threatened by these types of fanatics, for excellent reading on one of the philosophers upon whose writing our Bill of Rights, was based, just click on the following link, regarding John Stuart Mill and his book: "On Liberty":

    Again, very well written.

    A Re-Read

I definitely hear some long-held organ notes in the bacground of this thing.
Which is to say it is damned audible.
    And it's your voice.
And like all your stuff, it's never been written before.

Wow, a very thought provoking and scary piece!

I love the way you write, you have a great way with words a great flow and you manage to write a controversal poem without getting 'unrealistic'.

Again, an enjoyable read, I think I'll add you to my favourites!

    Creeeepy.

Sad thing is, I've spent 5 1/2 years in Arkansas and am now all too familiar with this kind of thinking. There really are scary people like the ones you describe in the poem.

Satirical work is always good. You go into much detail. I think my favorite stanza is the one about sex. Obviously yes, society will unravel if people have sex. I mean, people will keep reproducing! Obviously that will lead to the fall of society, since people will keep getting born. Dear Lord no!

If those from heaven laugh at those below, is it worthy of being hevean?
'Enlightened' ones with pure hearts, calling for the eradication of others to extinction.
    Allow me to repeat what I was taught;
To realize that our knowledge is ignorance, This is a noble insight. To regard our ignorance as knowledge, This is mental sickness. Only when we are sick of our sickness Shall we cease to be sick.

How many have marched under the flag of morality? Funny how that works, says something of a cyclic existence.

I must admit this is one of the longest prayers I think I have ever read! And I find myself agreeing to the bulk of it. Then I made the mistake of looking at the other comment and suddenly I wasn't sure I was interperting it right. If it is satire, then I totally missed the point...? Enlighten me...
