My vision begins to blur
The world on one tear begins to spur
I try to blink them back
But I can't take it anymore
So let them come
Go ahead and attack
Me
Because they know
That I can't even see
My moment of weakness
There light is of triumph
Winning with the cheat codes
They don't know what they are
Doing and thats exactly my point
They know not of those scissors
Or of the Bathroom so white
Or those scars they asked
About
Made a white lie
I told them
Or about those spilt
Feelings
Lay alone and drying in the moons
Rays of glowing innocence
Or of those tears
~spilt in the night when out of sight~<-line given by someone [The Last]
Or how in the darkness that most fear
I speak my heart but not one does hear
Or how I wear a mask
My faces is neutral my eyes are blank
Smiling to keep this mask
That is my task
But did you know this
Did you bother to see that real smile that proves I'm happy
Or at least relieved of some sadness
Did you?
No
And thats why this mask will never go
So Enjoy the Show

This poem was really sad, but true. Everybody hides behind a mask. Some people can smile when they feel like dying and others can look sad when they are actually happy, like the saying, I'm so happy I could cry. Great poem and thanks for the comment on mine.

Lots of people hide there faces behind a mask, so no one can know whats actually going on inside, sometimes its a good thing to hide behind and sometimes....anyway Love the flow of this piece silky. good work

Aw
This poem made me so sad, but it also made me think. I really liked this, the rhyme was good.

You know that hiding yourself will not make you happy, nor will it allow those with narrow eyes to have them opened unto a new Spirit. Show yourself for all that you are and scars will heal, those that don't wish to see will turn away and those who were left in the dark will be found in the light of Truth.

That was powerful. Very powerful. We all wear masks. To protect ourselves.
For who we are, is only human. And as we are humans. we are also vulnerable. Subject to physical and emotional pain. And so this mask.. This shield. Is the defense we have against the outside assault. Only certain people see beyond the mask, only certain people are worthy. Some people see beyond it, just because of who they are.. They are people who care more deeply about others. Your words are understood and felt by me. I understand completely. -
wow this is amazing

crimson tears fall in the wind where the heart is torn and those shadows grasp the soul!
Keep penning on one stroke at a time!

Happy Turkey Day! -
Masks have as many meanings as one could possibly imagine.
:3
But that's what masks are.
That's what masks do.
That's why I wear my mask.
:3
In doing that, it makes people learn about you as an individual, as opposed to visualization.
I have a theory on that...
Psychiatry has done some crazy things to me head.
Brilliant poem, it relishes in the masks' being, it's purpose...
