daylight coffin

A summer Paris evening for three friends

became a special scream in my mind.

I confess her midnight foreign charms

outlive the nightmares of a daylight coffin.

Obedient and silent to my daily death wish

I relive the horror of a slow death.

The dust which clutters my sickening memories

will soon erase that picture of you.

    Good

I like it! This is a great poem and I felt the emotions swimming throughout it. The author uses good imagery and maintains a poetic flow through the whole piece. I enjoyed reading this poem, it rings true and real.
