Of blinkered thoughts and open doors

The reaching words,
so often misconstrued,
a comma or a period out of place,
can bring a pall of bitter wintered thoughts
for something that said with gentle grace.

We must not judge others
by our measure,
Nor use slimy flattery of deceit,
to obtain imagined fame we should know better,
for fool's gold in value has no weight.

Every one of us, seeks to reach our goal,
"variety is the spice of life"
In every poetic pasture you will find
a grinding stone
to sharpen mind's dull knife.

An open mind is like an open door,
we see beyond the walls of blinkered thought,
from every verse I glean a new born dream,
and from every phrase some wisdom I've been taught.

Such a true thematic point in regards to poetry or even to people. Every poem and person has something of value to offer. We can't put ourselves above either. Every poem and person has something unique and valuable to afford.

    Striking Impact

Compassionate sound advice the author gifts to us in this wise piece penned. Reads as a poetic voiced of justice served."to obtain imagined fame we should know better, for fool's gold in value has no weight." This most often applies to a variaty of venue we might undertake also. A smooth compassionate wise penned poetic piece. I enjoyed it's depth of thought.

    WHOA ~

Amazing. I'm like pretty much speechless! The style is wowing, the visuals, the depth is just 'no-words-for-it'

I still can't get over how a write can have so much meaning and so many different concepts strung together. It's amazing!

I think think the 'the' might be an unessecary article.

    Thanks for this pleasure.
