can you keep a secret?
cause i really hate to lie.
cause there's words sticking to my tongue
that mix thick within my lung
and i wanna let them fly.
its a endless narrow path
that leads right through my mind
shallow words compressing thoughts
that i keep pressed inside.
open up the notes i print on the lids inside my eyes
infiltrate my lips
just so you taste the lies
keep my sickly sweet confession
bound and gaged inside this tension,
just to give off the impression
that i don't really mind.
i can't let you go there,
i'm scared of what you'd find,
to much that you don't understand
and i don't want to make you cry.
can you keep a secret babe?
i'll tell you,
so can i.

the contest was about confessing secrets. this is about the biggest secret i have: that im keeping a secret. the secret i'm keeping isn't the important part, its that i keep it thats important. i don't know if this was what you were looking for, but there it is.

how true it seems that once you get over the fact the content matters less than the actual thing itself, we can more openly confess to both or either, as the case may deem appropriate... anyway thanks for your honest write, its good to see that openness still exists out there...
